Next book coming up is one of the ones I loved as a child. It is the first book of The Last Dragon Chronicles, which has seven books plus a guide. Presenting...
Blurb:
Best-selling author,
Chris d'Lacey, brings us a magical story about mysterious hand crafted
clay dragons who have unusual powers.
When David moves in with
Liz and Lucy, he discovers a collection of hand crafted, clay dragons
that comes to life and has magical powers. David's personalized dragon,
Gadzooks, can forecast the future, and inspires him to write a story
which reveals the truth behind an unsolved mystery close to home. The
story has an unhappy ending, and when David realizes the consequences of
it he is angry. Then David finds Gadzooks crying and near death, and he
discovers that these special dragons die when they are not loved. Soon
David is forced to save his friend and unlock the powers of the fire
within.
It's such a great series.
Have you read this book? If so, what rating would you give it? If not, why do you want to read it?
YES. It's fantastic and amazing and I could rave on and on about it, but I'll save that for the next question.
I give this book 5 stars!
Why did you pick this book as one of your twelve this Christmas?
This book is full of magic and myths and lore and the best part: DRAGONS. I feel that dragons are undervalued in books. They are becoming more and more popular, but these books are just too freaking good. They are amazingly original, and I fall in love with this series every time I read them.
People should read this to experience the amazing world that D'Lacey created. It's full of such amazing magic and lore that I just cannot express how much I love this book. It's incredible.
What's the age limit for this book?
Here it differs. On Amazon, it says all the books are for people 8 years and up. On the author's website, it says 9 and up for the first one, and 10 and up for the following books. I'm sticking with 8 and up, but it's up to you.
