Kristen Ashley, you’ve done it again.
I mean, KA’s books are almost always amazing, but holy crap
. This book is in my top five. No doubt. The prologue… it was intense. It was, by far, the strongest and most potent of all prologues I’ve ever read. Shy and Tabby’s story is one of those you’re rooting for from the beginning; one of those that you are always sure, down to your very being, that they’re meant to be.
It may seem like I’m overreacting, but I’m really not. Just read it for yourself—you’ll see.
I loved Tabby. She is strong, stubborn (but not to a fault—she knows when it is important to cede), and she loves wholly and deeply.
Shy is a badass, hot biker dude. He made some mistakes (boy, did he) but he definitely knew how to rectify them.
The plot was awesome
. I loved the direction KA took this book in, I loved everything
. I really, truly did. There were twists and turns, and—something that I love about all KA books—there were no loose ends. I love how even the smallest detail will come back and be resolved. Now, I’m referring to Tabby and Shy’s story, not to the complete plotline. KA planted foreboding parts that scream “THIS ISN’T OVER.”
Though KA’s books are normally read as a stand-alone, this one’s got more teasers for what’s going to happen next. Don’t get me wrong, Tabby and Shy’s story is done. It’s complete. But there’s an overarching plot that will keep going into the next series, and it’s what’s making me so impatient for the next book. I can’t wait.

P.S. I ranted about this one
on my YouTube channel. It’s incoherent. You have been warned.
